Frame 'Made in Brazil' and Serial number AA756867. Under the grips '027 10 95' and '7735' on the other side. On the cylinder '7735' On the cylinder crane '7735' And on the frame, right against where the crane closes '272' By the looks of the revolver it seems to be an M68, but not sure, can't find anything on the net to support this speculation. The Walther PPK Polizei Pistole Kriminal was produced since 1930. It was one piece chequered Bakelit with Walther-banner, brown: Serial number. I was giving a Walther PPK 32 cal. With a serial number 381 about 40 years ago.

Small correction to number sequence, in March 1970 I bought a 35D/L serial number 396394, so would suggest number 400000 to be late 1970/early 71. HTH Alec Firstly a request for any more Walther numbers to fill in some of the gaps. 1) The order of the serial number is linear (i.e. They ascend in number as the date of manufacture progresses.) 2) There is no correlation between the models and their respective serial numbers (i.e. PPK/S with the serial number S046930 does correspond to the manufacture date of PPK A043149 - in this case it was built six years earlier, while.

My post-war pistol has no date or date code - about when was it manufactured? You can get a rough estimate based upon these observed pistols.

Note in 2002 the United States was by far the largest importer of German 'Revolvers and Self-Loading Pistols' with 1,040,985 imported (of 1,082,797 - the balance of 41,812 or about 4% going to 20 other countries), while the Germans destroyed only 5,666 'surplus' pistols.
